KIPP Comienza Community Prep Results

KIPP Comienza Community Prep aims to ensure that our students never face the achievement gap. As a school, we aim to provide the knowledge, skills, and experiences all students need to be successful through college and stay committed to positively impacting their community.

KIPP Comienza Community Prep's kindergartners and first graders showed impressive mastery of all subjects by the end of the 2011-12 school year, as measured by the national norm-referenced SAT-10 test. Though 50 percent of kindergarteners at KIPP Comienza Community Prep entered kindergarten last year without knowing any numbers or letter sounds, by the end of the year, 94 percent were reading at or above the national average and 89 percent were performing math at that level. In first grade, 90 percent were at or above the national average in reading, and 96 percent were at or above the national average in math.
